This 3-day safari is a perfect option for those with limited time but who still want to experience two of Tanzania’s prime safari destinations: Tarangire National Park and Ngorongoro Crater.

After breakfast in Arusha, your safari begins with a 2-3 hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Known for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees, Tarangire is often less crowded than the Serengeti and offers a more intimate wildlife experience. You’ll enjoy a half-day game drive, with chances to see elephants, lions, giraffes, and a variety of bird species. After the game drive, you’ll head to your lodge or camp for an overnight stay, where you’ll have dinner and enjoy the tranquil surroundings.
After breakfast, you’ll depart for Ngorongoro Crater, about a 3-hour drive away. Upon arrival, you’ll descend into the crater for a full day of game viewing. The crater is home to a diverse range of animals, including lions, wildebeests, zebras, and the rare black rhino. The lush grasslands and forests on the crater floor make it an ideal spot for wildlife watching. After a packed lunch in the crater, you’ll head to your accommodation on the crater rim for the evening.
On the final day of your safari, you’ll enjoy a morning game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater before ascending back to the rim. Afterward, you’ll drive back to Arusha, concluding your unforgettable adventure. Depending on your departure time, you may be dropped off at your hotel or the airport.
