Details
On this 5-day safari, you will visit three of Tanzania’s most popular wildlife destinations: Lake Manyara National Park, Serengeti National Park, and Ngorongoro Crater.
Your safari starts with a 2-hour drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Famous for its tree-climbing lions, the park also offers a diverse range of wildlife, including elephants, buffalo, and flamingos. You’ll enjoy a full-day game drive and have a chance to explore the park’s unique landscapes, from the shores of Lake Manyara to the forested slopes of the Great Rift Valley. You’ll overnight at a lodge or camp near the park.
After breakfast, you’ll depart for the Serengeti, traveling through the scenic Ngorongoro Highlands. The journey takes about 4-5 hours, and once you enter the Serengeti, you’ll begin your afternoon game drive. The Serengeti’s vast plains are home to an incredible diversity of wildlife, including the Big Five. After your game drive, you’ll overnight in a lodge or tented camp within the Serengeti.
Today, you’ll spend a full day exploring the Serengeti, known for its annual wildebeest migration and abundant wildlife. Your safari guide will take you to the best areas for spotting predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards, as well as herbivores like giraffes, zebras, and antelopes. After lunch, you’ll continue your game drive, returning to your accommodation in the evening.
After breakfast, you’ll leave the Serengeti and head to the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Upon arrival, you’ll descend into the crater for a full day of game viewing. The crater is home to a dense concentration of wildlife, including elephants, lions, buffalo, and the elusive rhino. You’ll have a packed lunch in the crater before ascending back to the rim for the night.
On your last day, you’ll enjoy a morning game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater before driving back to Arusha, where your safari adventure concludes.
