Itinerary Description By Day

Day 1: Machame Gate (1,790m)to Machame Camp(3,010m)

  • Have a hot breakfast in your hotel early in the morning
  • Then drive two hours to Machame gate
  • Perform registration formalities at the gate
  • After completing registration then Kilimanjaro trekking begins here
  • After only a few steps, you can immerse yourself in dense mountain rainforest with its huge primeval forest trees, ferns, moss rugs, vines and lichens
  • On your way you might even be lucky to see the black and white colobus monkeys in the treetops
  • After about 5-6 hours you reach Machame Camp
  • The Machame Camp is located just above the tree line at 3010m
  • Here you will have dinner and your first night in a tent at Kilimanjaro Machame Camp

Day 2: Machame Camp(3,010m) to New Shira Camp(3,845m)

  • After the early morning breakfast start from Machame Camp, you first pass through the heath and moor areas
  • The trail becomes stony and the landscape more open, so that the summit region of Kilimanjaro Mountain is soon to be seen
  • We will have a short trekking than the day before
  • You will reach at noon at the expansive Shira plateau
  • The camp offers breathtaking views of the summit region of Kilimanjaro especially at sunset, when the cliffs and hanging glaciers of the Kibos are bathed in warm evening light.
  • Have dinner and overnight stay at Shira Camp

Day 3: New Shira Camp(3,845m) to Lava Tower(4,640m) to Barranco Camp(3,960m)

  • After breakfast you will trek up to Lava Tower
  • You will see Kibo summit from the distance as you continue to trek uphill
  • At laver Tower you will have short rest allowing your body to acclimatize at an altitude of 4,640m
  • Continue hiking down to Barranco
  • There is advance of climb higher and sleep low maximizing chance for not getting altitude sickness on the mountain as your body react to changes in Altitude
  • As you go throughdifferent vegetation change from moorland to arid zones doted by giant Senecias and smaller Lobelia plants
  • After trekking for about 6 to 7 hours you will reach the Barranco Camp
  • Barranco Camp offers the best views of the snow-capped of the mountain’s summit
  • Have dinner and overnight stay at the Barranco Camp

Day 4: Barranco Camp(3,960m) to Karanga Camp (4,035m)

  • Have breakfast early in the morning and start a trek uphill
  • Trek upward to undertake the Barranco Wall
  • You do not have to climb properly on this passage, but you always need your hands to hold on
  • Guide will accompany you and help you when you need them
  • By ascending and descending you allow your body to get used to the altitude
  • Enjoy fantastic views and reach Karanga Camp for 3-4 hours, where you can have dinner and spend the night in tents.

Day 5: Barranco Camp(3,960m) to Barafu Camp(4,640m)

  • Have a breakfast early in the morning and continue with the trekking
  • The steepest and famous Barranco wall is perhaps the steepest part of the whole climb
  • Even though there is no technical climbing is needed, some places require hands using for a better clasp and to pulling yourself up
  • The scene is extremely arid and the ground cracks like glass under your boots
  • As you make your way through the afro-alpine dessert to the stony Barafu Camp, you are not too far from the view of the peak
  • The Barafu Camp with its rocky landscape allows for an eye-catching view of Mawenzi Peak and the summit trail in front
  • Have an early dinner and last minute preparation for tomorrow, you will go to bed for resting to prepare to conquer the summit

Day 6: Barafu Camp(4,640m) to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) to Mweka Camp(3,080m)

  • In the midnight guide will awake you and havebreakfast with some hot tea and biscuits in arranging to get you prepared for the summit attempts
  • You will trek in a north-western course through dense scree toward Stella Point, arriving there in about five to seven hours
  • At Stella Point you may rest if required before taking on another one to two hour hike along the crater rim to Uhuru Peak
  • Have a magnificent views as you stand on top of Africa
  • After taking as much pictures as you can, you will leave behind the shiny glaciers and snow-white peak and make your way back down to Barafu Camp
  • At Barafu Camp you will have time to grasp your breath before heading further down to Mweka Gate (3,080m)
  • Have a delicious dinner and an overnight stay here

Day 7:Mweka Camp (3,080m) to Mweka Gate(1,630m) to Arusha

  • After an energetic breakfast and a parting ceremony you will start your final descent to Mweka Gate where you will collect your summit certificate
  • A relaxed two to three hours walk will take you through the flourishing rainforest
  • Reaching Mweka Gate you will meet our transfer driver waiting for you, who will take you back to lodge/hotel in Moshi
  • The rest of the day is for you to enjoy a long shower, leap in the swimming pool or just relax at the bar or explore the town of Moshi
  • Dinner and overnight stay at lodge/hotel in Moshi

Day 8: Transfer To Serengeti National Park

  • Leave for Serengeti from Arusha in the morning for about 6-7 hours drive
  • Arrive in the afternoon and have lunch in one of the park’s picnic sites
  • Go for an afternoon game drive while exploring the vast Serengeti plains filled with a variety of flora and fauna
  • Transfer to the booked hotel for dinner and overnight stay

Day 9: Serengeti Migration Full Day Game Drive

  • Have breakfast and leave the hotel with packed lunch for a day’s game drive
  • Game view in the central Serengeti to witness annual “Great Migration” where thousands of wildebeests, zebras and antelopes migrate in search of fresh pastures and water
  • This natural event is such a breathtaking view which creates lifetime memories
  • Break for lunch and proceed with game drive till late afternoon
  • Drive back to the hotel for dinner and sleep

Day 10: Half Day Game Drive and Transfer To Ngorongoro

  • Have breakfast and checkout the hotel for a half day game drive in Serengeti
  • Game view in the park to spot Big cats, wildebeests, elephants, giraffes, bufallos, zebras, antelopes
  • Get a chance to come across a variety of bird species
  • Break for lunch at a picnic site
  • Proceed with the transfer to Ngorongoro in the booked hotel for dinner and overnight stay

Day 11: Full Day Game Drive In Ngorongoro Crater

  • Leave the hotel and start descending down the Ngorongoro crater, the largest unbroken caldera in the world
  • Game drive at the crater to spot Big five, giraffes, zebras, elands, hyenas, orynx
  • Come across variety of bird species including ostrich, ducks and flamingos spresd across the crater lake
  • Break for lunch at the crater rim
  • Proceed with game drive till late afternoon
  • Ascend out of the crater rim and return to the hotel for overnight stay

Day 12: Transfer To Arusha via Lake Natron

  • After breakfast, start ascending out of the crater and walk towards lake Natron
  • Take a walk along the lake while admiring its beautiful alkaline nature. You may be able to see eggs laid by flamingos
  • Have a picnic lunch and start heading back to Arusha
